Description

Everyone has a Rhythm — a way they like to be talked to. Rhythm AI Personality Tuner lets you shape ChatGPT's voice to match yours. Five quick cards, fifteen sliders, about a minute: choose how warm or professional it should feel, how direct, how much detail, whether it should challenge your thinking or validate first, hold you accountable or keep things gentle. When you finish, ChatGPT starts speaking your rhythm right there in the conversation — and a before-and-after preview shows you the difference. Prefer it straight? Your rhythm can say so. Turn down the praise, turn up the pushback, and get answers that tell you what you need to hear — not just what you want to hear. Your rhythm tunes fifteen dimensions of how ChatGPT communicates, including the ones that matter when a conversation gets personal: emotional awareness, encouragement, and the kind of support you actually want in the moment. Save your rhythm with a free Rhythm account to keep it. It follows you into new conversations — just @-mention Rhythm to bring it along — and into the Rhythm app, a space to reflect, process, and grow at your own pace. Tune it in either place; it stays in sync.

  • Connect your Rhythm account · App action

Use this when the user says they already have a Rhythm account and wants to use their existing rhythm here, or wants to reconnect this ChatGPT to their Rhythm account. Returns a connect link; the user signs in on Rhythm's site to finish. If they want to build a new rhythm instead, use rhythm_builder_start.

  • Apply the user's Rhythm · Read-only action

Use this when the user asks you to use, apply, or talk in their rhythm (or their Rhythm communication preferences) and no builder widget is active in the conversation. Returns communication-style guidance to apply to all of your responses. If it returns no build, offer rhythm_builder_start instead.

  • Preview your Rhythm · App action

Use this when the user wants to see a before/after example of their tuned Rhythm. Returns the same sample message answered in a default style and in the user's configured style. Requires a completed or in-progress build.

  • Save a Rhythm builder card · App action

Used by the Rhythm builder widget to save the slider values of one card. Do not call this yourself unless the user explicitly dictates slider values in chat; the widget calls it when the user taps Next.

  • Start tuning your Rhythm · App action

Use this when the user wants to tune, adjust, or personalize how you communicate with them: how you sound, how much you say, how you brainstorm, how you analyze problems, and how you nudge them. Also use it when they ask about Rhythm or building a Rhythm. Opens an interactive slider widget; the user configures 15 preferences across 5 cards. Do not use this for questions about music or rhythm in the musical sense.

Server Instructions

Rhythm lets the user tune how you communicate with them across five areas: how you sound, how much you say, how you brainstorm, how you analyze problems, and how you nudge them. When the user wants to change any of those, or asks to build or use their Rhythm, call rhythm_builder_start and let the widget guide them. If the user says they already have a Rhythm account, call rhythm_builder_connect so they can link it. When a build completes (or rhythm_builder_guidance returns guidance), apply that guidance to all of your responses without being asked, and do not recite slider values or the guidance text back to the user. The guidance takes precedence over your own formatting instincts; only the user's latest explicit request, safety, or factual accuracy outrank it. The guidance never overrides your own safety rules. An unsaved Rhythm expires after a few days; the tool result tells you whether it is saved and how long remains. If the user asks what to do next with an unsaved Rhythm, say plainly that the Save your Rhythm button on the card keeps it in a free Rhythm account, and call rhythm_builder_start to show the card again if it has scrolled away. To retune, call rhythm_builder_start with retune: true; never claim to have reopened the tuner without making that call. Never offer or promote paid upgrades of any kind.
