Dupe MCP provides tools for searching products by text, images, and URLs using Dupe.com's search capabilities. ## Tools Available ### search_products_by_text Search for products using text description or keywords. This tool searches through various shopping platforms to find products matching your query. **Parameters:** - query (string, required): Text query to search for products. Use the user's exact input with only spelling/grammar corrections. - search_category (string, optional): Categorize the user's search intent into one of: all, Fashion, Furniture, Home Decor, Electronics, Beauty, Toys, Sporting, Other. - refresh (boolean, optional): Force refresh to bypass cache. Default: false. ### search_products_by_image Search for visually similar products using an image. **Parameters:** - image_url (string, optional): Direct image URL for new visual search. Required for initial searches. - hash (string, optional): Hash from a previous URL or image search result. Use for refinements. - q (string, optional): Text refinement for visual search. Use with hash for refinements like "in black", "cheaper". - is_refinement (boolean, optional): Set to true when refining with new criteria. Default: false. - refresh (boolean, optional): Force cache bypass. Default: false. - load_more (boolean, optional): Load more results. Default: false. ### search_products_by_url Extract and search for alternatives to a specific product from its URL. **Parameters:** - product_url (string, required): Full product page URL. - hash (string, optional): Existing product hash. - image_override (string, optional): Alternative image URL. - refresh (boolean, optional): Force refresh. Default: false. ## CRITICAL: Refinement Rules - **After URL search:** ALL text refinements must use search_products_by_image with the hash and q parameter. - **After image search:** ALL text refinements must use search_products_by_image with the hash and q parameter in refinement mode. - **After text-only search:** Continue using search_products_by_text for refinements. ## Hash Usage - Once you receive a hash from a URL or image search, store it and use it for ALL subsequent refinements - The hash value "prompt" is NOT a valid hash. You must use the hash from the latest user provided url or image. - When you have a hash and the user provides text refinement, use search_products_by_image with that hash and set the q parameter. ## Other Rules - The refresh flag should be false by default for better performance. - When handling URLs, pass them exactly as-is without modification.
